Our beers / Kleis 13°
Special semi-dark thirteen percent malt extract beer
Kleis 13°
The special semi-dark Kleis 13° takes its name from an original recipe for brewing beer in Cvikov in the days of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The beer produced at that time at the Cvikov Brewery under the name of Kleis was characterised by a subtle caramel malt colouring and a more pronounced bitterness. That’s why we chose Bavarian and caramel malts for our semi-dark Kleis 13°, to give it an amber colour with very subtle caramel notes and an overall full flavour. Žatec hops give it a higher, pleasantly lingering bitterness.
